Default Solution to Code=007 Disconnects

Just registered to post my own solution for the problem, as I thought it might help out many frustrated gamers out there.

The method I used was simple:

1. Un-install Guild Wars.
2. Use CCleaner and Reboot.
3. Download the Guild Wars Setup Client from the Guildwars.com
4. Run the Setup.

Basically, in simple terms, I uninstalled Guild Wars, removed its registries via CCleaner's Registry Cleanup Tool, and reinstalled Guild Wars via their online setup client.

Yes, it's a long and tedious process (the installation and massive downloads), but currently I've been in game for 2 hours with no disconnects.

You should let the download run, wait about 20-30 minutes for the initial files to be downloaded (so you can get into the char login screen), log in with your username and password, then just let the game sit there overnight. It will keep downloading the additional files and compile it into the Gw.dat file, so just let it sit there, because if you try to play, it will be jittery and laggy due to its self download.

Hope this helps all who have problems.

This may help you but there is no garantuee that it will help other people as well. And there are still people with slow connections or people with fast connections who, for whatever reason, have to download the files with 3kB/sec (happened to me with the last 2 updates): not really an option.

And it is hard to see the relation with the problem... when i try to login i often have to wait 20-30 seconds or so before i can see my chars. Yesterday i played for 30 minutes and 2x i lost connection with the "friend-server" (so i couldnt see who of my m8s were online). Later i chatted to some players in an outpost and all of a sudden i couldnt type/move anymore --> err07

To me this sounds more like a problem with the servers than with my client (no fragmentations).

All of this started since the last update (end of the preview weekend)...
